My Retirement Hustle

I always had a passion for all types of string instruments. I play guitar and bass for a number of years. I do all my own setup on my instruments.

I have always loved the unique sounds of open tunings. Keith Richard is my idol. I read an article in an early '70s Guitar Player many years ago that featured Keith Richard's open G tuning. From that point forward I was an open G fanboy.

In 2020, during the pandemic, I watched several YouTube videos on playing and making cigar box guitars. I was hooked. I am a good woodworker so I was ready to get started. I learned a lot of tips and techniques from these videos. I learn new things from each build that helps me make a quality musical instrument.
